Etsy Plush Team: State Fair (Sideshow)
The theme of Plush Team's current challenge is "State Fair", with three categories, one being "Sideshow Creatures". I was attracted to this category immediately, because I felt I could have the most creative freedom with it. I thought of conjoined twins right off the bat, when two French girls suddenly appeared in my head. Although Sideshows are in very bad taste, it was often the only line of work for people who were disfigured. Instead of making conjoined twins as part of a freak show type environment, I decided to give them a very fortunate upbringing. I would like to introduce Georgette & Lisette:
Georgette & Lisette are heiresses to a very large French fortune. Their parents have made sure to bring up their conjoined girls in a proper and civilized manner, therefore they must have perfect hair, perfect manners, and they must dress in frilly things at all times. After all, they must be presentable for their parents' frequent dinner guests. Although Georgette & Lisette have been showered with more gifts than they know what to do with, their favourite toy in the world is their black stuffed bear, Sébastien. They squabble over who gets to hold him, which once resulted in an unfortunate incident where Sébastien lost an eye. The girls are quite well-mannered otherwise, although they still will not reveal to me which one is Georgette and which one is Lisette.
They are available in My Etsy Shop.

Etsy: Photo Prints
I finally got some prints done of my dolly photos! I got these 6 done to start, and I plan on getting more prints of different photos done in the future. The prints measure 5 x 7 and they are printed on high quality Kodak Professional Endura Paper with a Luster finish. They all come signed on the back, and are unframed. You can see them in my Etsy shop here.

Drawings: Superhero Chicks Part II
As promised, I have more girly superhero drawings! (I used the same colouring technique for these ones that I used in Part I.)
First I drew Harley Quinn, one of my favourite characters from Batman: The Animated Series. HQ was once the Joker's psychiatrist while he was an inmate at Arkham Asylum. Instead of curing him, she falls madly in love with him and becomes a villain herself. HQ was only supposed be in one episode, but her character was so greatly received that she was written into the rest of the series (and has her own comics and toys) and she has gained a big fan following. (I think that HQ's character was inspired by Cyndi Lauper, because her voice and bubbly personality are so similar.)
My friend Anna wanted me to draw her favourite superhero, Black Canary, so here she is! I have to admit that I didn't know anything about BC, so I had to look up her backstory and costume reference. BC fights crime in Gotham City with martial arts, and her deafening Canary Cry. I think she rocks because she fights crime in fishnet stockings!
The third drawing I did isn't a superhero, but she's still awesome. I drew Emilie Autumn, violindustrial singer-songwriter. EA is one of my favourite musicans, and I think she wears the most fabulous outfits ever! (Some of you might remember the EA doll I made for myself a few months ago -- I luff her!). I have tickets for her show in November, so I'm super excited! ^_^
I still have Poison Ivy, Batgirl and Sailor Moon in the works, so stay tuned! ^_^
